Specialty supermarket Urban Fare hosts a special eight-day Gourmet Cheese Event at its Yaletown (177 Davie), Coal Harbour (305 Bute), and downtown (1133 Alberni) locations, from June 13-20. Local cheese purveyors will be on hand to pass out free samples and explain the many varieties available. There will also be cheese and wine tastings at all three locations on June 18 (4-8pm), and 19-20 (noon-5pm). UrbanFare.com.
